1. NTA CUET UG Result 2027: Sovereign Higher Education Gateway Overview
The Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) - CUET (UG) 2027, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the statutory auspices of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education, Government of India, stands as the single, standardized, and mandatory national examination for admissions into all undergraduate degree courses across 47+ Central Universities, 40+ State Universities, 35+ Deemed Universities, and over 130+ participating private institutions nationwide.
Administered in a hybrid examination format (comprising both pen-and-paper OMR mode for high-density subjects and Computer-Based Testing for niche electives) across 13 distinct languages, CUET UG 2027 registered more than 15.5 lakh unique applicants. The release of the CUET UG Result 2027 scorecard, raw scores, normalized marks, percentile ranks, and university-specific merit calculation guidelines establishes the definitive gateway for admission into premier colleges such as Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), St. Stephen's College, Hindu College, Miranda House, Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) at Delhi University (DU), as well as Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI).
📢 NTA CUET UG 2027 Master Examination Matrix:
- Conducting Authority: National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of UGC.
- Examination Scope: 61 Subjects (33 Languages, 27 Domain Subjects, and 1 General Test).
- Marking Architecture: +5 for every correct response; -1 for every incorrect response (negative marking); 0 for unattempted questions.

- Class 12th Board Alignment: Candidates must strictly map domain subjects taken in CUET with the subjects passed in Class 12th as required by specific universities (notably Delhi University).

4. How to Retrieve Lost CUET UG 2027 Application Number & Password
In case a candidate misplaces their login credentials, NTA maintains an automated self-service recovery gateway:
| Credential Challenge | Official Recovery Mechanism | Verification Step |
|---|---|---|
| Forgot Application Number | Click on "Forgot Application No.?" on the CUET login screen. Input Candidate Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, and Date of Birth as registered in the initial application form. | Upon entering the captcha and submitting, your 12-digit Application Number will be dispatched immediately via registered SMS and email. |
| Forgot Password | Click on "Forgot Password?". Choose recovery through: (1) Verification code via SMS, (2) Password reset link via registered email, or (3) Security Question and Answer set during registration. | Create a new alphanumeric password containing 8-13 characters with uppercase, lowercase, numeric, and special character symbols. |
5. Deciphering Raw Score vs Normalized Score vs Percentile Score in CUET UG
Understanding the distinction between Raw Score, Normalized Score, and Percentile Score is vital for calculating your admission eligibility across various universities:
| Scoring Metric | Mathematical Formulation | University Admission Application |
|---|---|---|
| Raw Score | Actual marks obtained in the exam based on marking criteria:Raw Score = (Correct Answers × 5) - (Incorrect Answers × 1) |
Base mathematical input. In subjects conducted in a single shift without variation, the raw score itself becomes the final normalized score. |
| NTA Normalized Score (Equi-percentile) | Computed using the Interpolation Equi-percentile Method across multiple shifts to eliminate variations in question paper difficulty. Scaled up to 7 decimal places (e.g., 184.2384912 out of 200). |
The definitive metric used by Delhi University, BHU, and Central Universities to calculate aggregate merit cutoff scores (e.g., Best of 4 subjects out of 800 marks for DU B.Com / B.A. programs). |
| Percentile Score | Indicates the percentage of candidates in that subject who scored equal to or less than that particular candidate:Percentile = (100 × Count of candidates ≤ Score) / Total candidates |
Measures relative academic competitiveness. Some state and private universities use percentiles directly for initial screening rounds. |
6. Central University Admission Matrix: Top Institutions & Program Frameworks
Unlike NEET or JEE where a central body like MCC or JoSAA allocates all seats, CUET UG qualifiers must register separately on each university's individual counseling portal:
| Central University | Official Admission Portal | Flagship Undergraduate Programs | Counseling Selection Mechanism |
|---|---|---|---|
| University of Delhi (DU) | https://ugadmission.uod.ac.in/ (CSAS Portal) |

7. Delhi University CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) 3-Phase Admission Architecture
The University of Delhi administers all admissions across its 68 affiliated colleges through the centralized CSAS (UG) 2027 Portal:
| CSAS Phase | Candidate Mandatory Action | Procedural Rules & Pitfalls to Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1: Registration & Profile Submission | Log in to https://ugadmission.uod.ac.in/ with CUET Application Number. Fill personal details, upload Class 10th & 12th marksheet, category certificates, and pay the registration fee (₹250 for UR/OBC/EWS; ₹100 for SC/ST/PwD). |
Mandatory subject mapping: Candidates must map their Class 12th subjects with the corresponding CUET papers. DU strictly requires that candidates must have appeared in CUET in only those subjects they passed in Class 12th! |
| Phase 2: Program & College Preference Selection | Upon result declaration, Phase 2 unlocks. Candidates select all eligible degree programs and rank colleges in order of preference (e.g., Choice 1: B.Com (Hons) at SRCC, Choice 2: B.Com (Hons) at Hindu, Choice 3: B.A. Economics at St. Stephen's). | Candidates can submit hundreds of preferences. Always list top colleges first, as the allocation algorithm scans sequentially from Preference #1 downwards. |
| Phase 3: Seat Allocation & Acceptance Rounds | DU announces simulated ranks followed by Round 1 Seat Allocation. If allotted a seat, the candidate MUST click on "Accept Provisionally" before the deadline. | Failure to click "Accept" results in permanent disqualification from all subsequent DU CSAS counseling rounds! After college verification and fee payment, choose "Upgrade" to compete for higher preferences in Round 2 or "Freeze" to lock your current seat. |
8. DU & Central Universities Tie-Breaking Resolution Protocol
When two or more candidates obtain identical CUET normalized aggregate scores for the same program and college in Delhi University, the following sequential tie-breaking criteria are applied:
- Criterion 1 - Higher Percentage in Class 12th Best 3 Subjects: Candidate with a higher aggregate percentage of marks in the best 3 subjects in Class 12th board examination is given preference.
- Criterion 2 - Higher Percentage in Class 12th Best 4 Subjects: Candidate with a higher aggregate percentage in the best 4 subjects in Class 12th receives higher rank.
- Criterion 3 - Higher Percentage in Class 12th Best 5 Subjects: Candidate with a higher aggregate percentage in the best 5 subjects in Class 12th is placed higher.
- Criterion 4 - Age Factor (Older Candidate Preferred): Candidate who is older in age (based on Date of Birth on Class 10th certificate) is awarded the higher merit seat.
- Criterion 5 - Alphabetical Name Sequence: If the tie remains unresolved, alphabetical ordering of the candidate's name as entered in the application form is considered.
9. Category Reservation Policies & Certificate Guidelines (OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, PwD, ECA)
